Booking open for Project Kestrel 2022

Project Kestrel is an online training package aimed at security and facilities personnel, fire wardens and anyone with a direct or indirect responsibility for fire safety in buildings. It is designed to equip learners with an understanding of all aspects of fire safety, including fire prevention and detection, local hazards, risk awareness, roles and responsibilities. Participants will complete six training modules which will consolidate their knowledge of safety and security functions in relation to fire in the workplace. The course takes approximately 2.5 hours and awards 2 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points.

Successful completion of the course will give additional assurance to premises owners and managers by providing them with approved trained personnel in fire safety and security awareness, prevention, protection and emergency response.

Project Kestrel was created by the London Fire Brigade and developed in partnership with the City of London Crime Prevention Association and the Corporation of London. The course was launched by the Lord Mayor of London in May 2021.

The individual course enrolment fee is £25 which includes a donation to The London Fire Brigade Museum and educational programmes, and the Cross Sector Safety and Security Communications charity.
