ProtectUK: Professionalising response and coordination following a terrorist attack

After such horrific attacks have affected the UK in past years, it is vital that we continue our learning and development to ensure our response and coordination across policing and with our partners is the best it can be.

A Protective Security Coordinator Course (PSCC) have been devised in response to learning following the events of the Fishmongers Hall terror attack in 2019. Participants attain an accreditation, by taking part in a five-day course where their ability to delegate and organise the response to a potential terrorist attack is assessed

Lead decision makers, supporting officers, coordinating staff and engagement officers come together to understand different capabilities available to manage the protective security and preparedness response to national security incidents.
