Hostile states have moved beyond their traditional hunting ground of state secrets and are targeting the commercial sector. The boardroom is the new battleground. Innovation and IP are at risk, and the commercial futures of key industries are more vulnerable. In this presentation, David Kilby and Parker Wise, will bring their years of experience to bring clarity to the types of threats posed by hostile states and more importantly, what the private sector can do about it. This problem is too big for government agencies to handle alone; private companies now need to take responsibility for their own protection.
David Kilby is Executive Vice President, Strider Technologies, a category creating leader in strategic intelligence. Prior to joining Strider, David worked for the UK government for over 30 years in a range of national security focused posts, at home and abroad, countering hostile state and non-state threats
Parker Wise is Senior Principal at Clearspeed – the pioneering capability that uses voice analytics to surface risk. Prior to that, he served in the US intelligence community for over two decades in field operations. He has experience in offensive and defensive counter-intelligence as well as working against hostile state actors. He was fortunate to serve in London on his final overseas posting.
